The only known picture of
Confrontation's "Classic View"?
David Seymour,
thank you for taking "spy photos" for us!
It was brought to
my attention that it looks like the guy in the bottom right pic (with the
coffee) is playing in "Classic View". So I took the already small David
Seymour camera-phone photo and blew it up! It's not much, but it's all
we've got for now.

Pushing for Alpha
The entire team is
implementing features, fixing bugs, tweaking art, tuning values and testing
the game. With apologies for the camera quality on my cell phone, here is a

And that’s what we are doing, day in and day out. Watch this space for
updates on features and some answers (or fuel) for the debate around what’s
the same, what’s improved and what’s new in Confrontation.

SOCOM Confrontation Beta on
the Way
Last Thursday
(March 27th) Seth Luisi from Sony announced in a blog post on
SOCOM.com that they are
looking for some SOCOMers to be in the private beta for Confrontation.
"We are looking
for a select few to provide early feedback on SOCOM: Confrontation in an
upcoming Private Beta test. Only the top contributors at the Official SOCOM
Blog will be selected. We are on the look out for
people who have intense knowledge of all the previous SOCOM games and can
also demonstrate their leadership in the
Message Boards and Comments section. More details soon."
(According to the
Confrontation Article in the May EGM; after this closed private beta, there
will also be an "open beta" to follow.)
If you've not
already part of the SOCOM community on the
playstation.com
message boards, now is the time to
sign up to get involved! If you're into SOCOM enough to be reading this
you're probably they type of individual Sony's looking for in this private
beta test.
