Retirement Community Services

Residents
· House Calls: We still go out into the community to see our patients that can’t get to us. For our patients that are in retirement and/or assisted living communities we provide specific scheduled dates (one to two times per month) to come to the facility.

· Screenings: Residents are never sold anything at the time of the screenings. A screening is just to determine whether a hearing loss exists. If a hearing loss does exist a full hearing test will be scheduled with a family member present. We will perform screenings on any of our scheduled dates we are at the facility.

· Cleanings: In order to function correctly a hearing aid must be cleaned on a regular basis by a hearing care professional. Besides the cleaning of the aid itself, we also check for excessive wax build-up in the ear and teach residents how to properly maintain their hearing aid between “professional cleanings”

Staff
· Hearing Aid Care 101: Instruction on cleaning and simple maintenance: Cleaning, Care, Battery Changing, Wax Guard Changing and simple troubleshooting. When the staff can help the residents on these simple issues, the residents are happier. This in turn makes the staff happier.

· Custom flyers and mailers:
Anytime there is an announcement needs to be made to the residents, Beltone Hearing Aid Associates will provide flyers. The flyers can be made according specifications of the facility and are printed out by Beltone Hearing Aid Associates. This saves the staff time and effort letting the residents know about upcoming events.
